Working in physical collage, CMD+V is a New York–based artist exploring the shared visual symbols that shape contemporary identity.
Grid structures underpin CMD+V’s creative practice. Within these disciplined systems, everyday emblems become material for examining, fragmenting, and reconstructing familiar imagery.
CMD+V’s practice engages a lineage of artists working through systems, grids, and photographic reconstruction, including Gerhard Richter, Edward Zajec, Emily Noyes Vanderpoel, Charles Csuri and Chuck Close (to name a few).
